RISE courses and centres

With over 200 learning centres and 2000 courses, RISE is confident you'll be able to find a combination to suit your needs.
If not, you can come and talk to us about it and we'll adapt as best we can.
You can look at all the courses RISE offers right here. You might want to learn about care work, get some accounting skills, or gain a health & safety qualification.
We hope that your experience of the RISE learning network will not end once you complete your first course. Many learners admit to catching the ‘learning bug' after discovering how useful and enjoyable learning with RISE can be. You might want to continue with a more advanced course, start something new, or spread the word about RISE to your family and friends.
As soon as you get involved with RISE, you'll be welcome at our Learners' groups to discuss what you think about the courses and centres we have. In fact, we'd like as many of you as possible to tell us your thoughts and then we'll know how to make RISE more relevant to its users. You might even want to become a Learning Advocate and help others to get involved in the RISE network.

Learner support
Julie Rees left school with few qualifications but caught the learning bug in her early twenties while looking after her two small children. She began with some GCSEs and then took a course in sign language, which she had already learnt from her deaf husband.
Julie now works in the office of Newport's Charles Street Community Learning Centre, and provides essential support to learners with impaired hearing. "Five years ago I would have never said that I would now be studying for an A-Level. Learning has given me a future."
